Our pediatric geneticists investigate the genetic basis of a range of childhood disorders, with a special focus on disorders of bone growth and development and ciliary signaling disorders. They seek to understand the molecular mechanisms that regulate growth and skeletal development using a combination of genetic and functional approaches. On the basis of studies with large cohorts of patients with well-characterised disorders, this work sheds on underlying molecular causes and enables development of novel therapeutic approaches.
