Scientific Writing

Zielgruppe: Promovierende und Postdocs, die in wissenschaftlichen Zeitschriften publizieren. Voraussetzungen: Sie haben bereits erste Publikationserfahrung
Methoden: Praktische Übungen wechseln sich mit theoretischen Inhalten ab. Die Teilnehmenden verfassen kleine Passagen eines wissenschaftlichen Artikels.

Erfahrene Autorinnen und Autoren verbessern die Effizienz des Publikationsprozesses und lernen, wie der “Impact” der Publikation erhöht werden kann. Dieser Kurs wird in Kooperation mit dem EQUIP Programm (Education and Qualification for Postdocs)der Medizinischen Fakultät angeboten. Inhalte und Ziele: Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftler, die bereits Publikationserfahrung haben, lernen in diesem Seminar eine Methode zum effizienten Erstellen von Manuskripten. Die Teilnehmer*innen lernen Regeln für verständlicheres Schreiben und besprechen strategisch wichtige Entscheidungen beim Publizieren. Möglichkeiten der Erhöhung der Reichweite der eigenen Publikation werden erarbeitet.

Methods: Practical exercises alternate with theoretical content. The participants write short passages of a scientific article.

Experienced authors improve the efficiency of the publication process and learn how to increase the “impact” of the publication. This course is offered in cooperation with the EQUIP program (Education and Qualification for Postdocs) of the Medical Faculty. Contents and objectives: In this seminar, scientists who already have experience of publishing will learn a method for the efficient production of manuscripts. Participants will learn rules for more comprehensible writing and discuss strategically important decisions in publishing. Possibilities for increasing the reach of their own publications will be worked out.
