Deutsche Krebshilfe: Excellence Funding Programme for Established Scientists (2nd call)
22 September 2022 @ 0:00
With the aim of giving well-established, excellent scientists the necessary freedom to develop new conceptual approaches by pursuing innovative, ground-breaking ideas for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer, the German Cancer Aid has decided to launch a second call for applications within the ‘Excellence Funding Programme for Established Scientists’. This programme enables the submission of long-term ‘high-risk – high gain’ research projects.
Professors and group leaders successfully working in clinical or basic clinically oriented cancer re-search with an outstanding academic CV are eligible to apply.
The programme gives scientists the opportunity to work on projects that cannot be funded within the scope of other German Cancer Aid funding programmes or by institutional core funding.
Funding of up to a maximum of € 1.5 million is available for a period of 5 years.
The procedure for application and evaluation consists of two steps. Project outlines in English must be submitted by 22.09.2022 to the German Cancer Aid. If the preliminary evaluation is favourable, full ap-plications must be submitted by 23.02.2023.
More detailed information on the call for applications, the application procedure and the evaluation procedure can be found here.
