SUMMARY:Carl-Zeiss-Foundation: CZS Nexus - "Artificial Intelligence"\, "Resource Efficiency" or "Life Science Technologies"
DESCRIPTION:The CZS Nexus programme offers postdoctoral researchers the opportunity to establish their own interdisciplinary research group over a period of five to six years. They are looking for outstanding young scientists who are aiming to embark on an academic career and who wish to implement exciting ideas at interfaces between various STEM fields. The interdisciplinary nature should be evident in the applicants’ backgrounds\, in the design of the research project\, in the planned composition of team and in the institutional embedding of the group. The focus of the project can be both basic and application-orientated research. In addition to the interdisciplinary nature\, the research topic must be related to one or more of the focus topics of the Foundation: “Artificial Intelligence”\, “Resource Efficiency” or “Life Science Technologies”. Funding can be requested for up to a total of 1\,500\,000 euros. Click here for more information on project durarion\, application criteria and starting dates.

SUMMARY:Research Funding by the Academic Society of Freiburg im Breisgau
DESCRIPTION:The Academic Society of Freiburg im Breisgau has the objective to support early career scientists. Scientists of all disciplines are invited to apply for funding\, which can cover a variety of costs necessary for the implementation of scientific projects. Among others\, applications can be made for funding for trips relevant for their research (field trips\, study visits to improve research skills\, joint preparation of a larger research proposal)\, consumables for research projects\, publication or printing costs (e.g. dissertations with distinction i.e. summa cum laude or – in exceptional cases – excellent habilitation theses and publications that are deemed of outstanding importance for the scientific reputation of the University of Freiburg)\, climate-neutral lecture tours to important international conferences and congresses. Applications up to a funding volume of € 1\,500 are reviewed monthly (except in August)\, and are expected to be submitted by the beginning of the month. Applications with a higher funding volume (up to EUR 5\,000) are assesed twice a year in the meetings of the Board of Trustees. Timely application is a prerequisite. \n\n\n\nDeadline: The next deadline for application with funding volumes exceeding € 1\,500 is October 13th 2023. \n\n\n\nFurther information about this programm is available in german via this link.
