SUMMARY:Else Kröner-Fresenius-Stiftung: Preis für Medizinische Forschung 2023
DESCRIPTION:Der Else Kröner Fresenius Preis für Medizinische Forschung wurde 2013 anlässlich des 25. Todestages von Else Kröner zum ersten Mal verliehen. Seitdem wurden drei Forscher ausgezeichnet. \n\n\n\nIm Jahr 2023 wird der Preis für herausragende wissenschaftliche Beiträge zu Krankheiten von weltweiter Bedeutung vergeben. Nominierungen sind vom 24. Mai bis zum 13. September 2022 möglich. \n\n\n\nDer Preis ist mit 2\,5 Millionen Euro dotiert\, wovon 500.000 Euro als persönliches Preisgeld an die Preisträgerin oder den Preisträger gehen und 2\,0 Millionen Euro für die zukünftige Forschung der Preisträgerin oder des Preisträgers bestimmt sind. \n\n\n\nNominiert werden können Forscherinnen oder Forscher im Bereich der medizinischen Grundlagenforschung oder der klinischen Wissenschaften. Sie sollen herausragende wissenschaftliche Beiträge zu Krankheiten geleistet haben\, die in Ländern mit niedrigem\, mittlerem und hohem Einkommen eine große Belastung darstellen. SUMMARY:Innovative Health Initiative: Call for funding applications
DESCRIPTION:IHI calls for proposals represent an opportunity for organisations involved in health research and healthcare to form consortia and apply to be part of cross-sector partnerships that bring together a range of stakeholders to tackle some of the biggest challenges in health research today. \n\n\n\nIHI call 1 was launched on 28 June 2022 with topics on cancer\, neurodegenerative diseases\, and health data. The deadline for full proposals is 20 September 2022. \n\n\n\nIHI call 2 was launched 28 June 2022 with topics on cardiovascular disease and early feasibility studies. SUMMARY:Deutsche Krebshilfe: Excellence Funding Programme for Established Scientists (2nd call)
DESCRIPTION:With the aim of giving well-established\, excellent scientists the necessary freedom to develop new conceptual approaches by pursuing innovative\, ground-breaking ideas for the prevention\, diagnosis and treatment of cancer\, the German Cancer Aid has decided to launch a second call for applications within the ‘Excellence Funding Programme for Established Scientists’. This programme enables the submission of long-term ‘high-risk – high gain’ research projects. \n\n\n\nProfessors and group leaders successfully working in clinical or basic clinically oriented cancer re-search with an outstanding academic CV are eligible to apply. \n\n\n\nThe programme gives scientists the opportunity to work on projects that cannot be funded within the scope of other German Cancer Aid funding programmes or by institutional core funding. \n\n\n\nFunding of up to a maximum of € 1.5 million is available for a period of 5 years. \n\n\n\nThe procedure for application and evaluation consists of two steps. Project outlines in English must be submitted by 22.09.2022 to the German Cancer Aid. If the preliminary evaluation is favourable\, full ap-plications must be submitted by 23.02.2023. \n\n\n\nMore detailed information on the call for applications\, the application procedure and the evaluation procedure can be found here.
