SUMMARY:International Symposium - From Paradigms to Paradoxes in Immunity and Immunopathology (PPII)
DESCRIPTION:The PPII symposium 2022 is jointly organized by the CRC1160 and the Center for Chronic Immunodeficiency (CCI). The symposium itself will take place at the University Building KG I located in the heart of Freiburg just a few minutes from the main railway station\, hotels and restaurants. \n\n\n\nThe organizing committee is compiling an exciting scientific program with plenary sessions held by internationally renowned speakers complemented by selected short talks from young scientists. \n\n\n\nThe topics of the symposium are: \n\n\n\nConcepts of Basic Molecular ImmunologyThe Paradox of Innate MemoryParadigms in Infection ImmunityImpaired Immune Reactions and ImmunopathologyCrosstalk in the Immune SystemParadoxes in adverse immune responsesFrontiers in gut immunity\n\n\n\nWe are grateful that Prof. Bruce BEUTLER (The Scripps Research Institute\, La Jolla\, USA) has agreed to deliver the Georges Köhler Lecture as well as that Prof. Steven HOLLAND (National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases & National Institute of Health\, Bethesda\, USA)\, Prof. Florian KRAMMER (Icahn School of Medicine\, Mount Sinai\, NY\, USA) have agreed to deliver Keynote Lectures. \n\n\n\nThe symposium will include poster presentations and talks by young researchers. Talks will be chosen from of submitted abstracts.
